Breaking down boundaries of family and kin encourages us to craft a joyful life. Inculcating a spirit of community is a powerful mechanism to change lives. We have seen the difficulties faced by families with Individuals of Disability to receive care and support. The emergence of nuclear families has made it cumbersome for parents to look to their own for help.
This problem has been made even more difficult by the absence of institutional support. It is therefore the dream of India Autism Center to create a community that can address the real problems faced by families, and we call it ‘Samaavesh’ – our Residential campus – where boundaries created are made invisible, making living life, joyful and fulfilling. ‘Samaavesh’ will have four types of programs – three of which are residential, and the other a day-care option. Each of them designed to cater to unique individual and family needs.
This is a boarding facility where individuals with autism spectrum will live separately from their parents or families. Care and support will be administered by trained Indian Autistic Center personnel. Some of the features are:
A facility where families who have a neurodiverse member can move in to the Campus and make it their home. Neurodiverse members of the family will attend daycare services and return home at the end of the day.
A combined program where neurodiverse individuals will be enrolled in the Fulltime Supported Living Programs and the family can live in a Family Housing Unit on Campus
Neurodiverse individuals can travel to Campus on a daily / regular basis, and avail of services as per requirement.
